Kabul (BNA) Insecurity situation in northeastern Badakhshan province can deteriorate peace process and inflect social crisis on the local Afghans who are tolerating the social deprivations, insecurity and instability challenges in the province.
Moreover, the certain civil factors and challenges which are imposing of the narcotic smuggling, mines, lack of consents among the Badakhshan’s people house’s representatives, negligence over the consideration of the former Jehadi commander’s privileges, have posed intensification over the instabilities process in this area. At the same time the present living circumstances have jeopardized the tranquility process in this province. The Badakhshan province’s authorities have ratified that the mine’s revenues are usurping by the Taliban who have been applying these revenues over the mobilization and arming of the irresponsible armed individuals, deteriorating the peace process.
However, Gull Mohammad Bidar the deputy governor of Badakhshan, has criticized that the province has lapis-lazuli mine which generates income millions USD daily, But unfortunately these revenues are embezzled by the irresponsible armed groups. During the session which was held by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, chief executive Abdullah Abdullah and Sallahuddin Rabbani the foreign affair minister with the local afghan citizens, various matters were discussed. It was pointed out during the session by the local people that the National Unity Government (NUG) should concentrate its serious actions over the legitimate exploiting of the mines. It is considered, the government has not taken any practical measures in this respect. The military insufficient forces: one of the governmental local officials has stated that as a result of insufficient armed forces in the province, have caused that the insurgent groups could have deteriorated the peaceful situation recently in province. Similarly, the local people are expecting from the government to take effective steps to raise the defending capacity of the national armed forces in a satisfactory level, enabling them to eradicate the government’s armed opponents in this province.
The provincial council’s head has emphasized that the number of the national armed forces who are taking part in the military operations, are not sufficient to meet the security requirements. It is said that the afghan armed forces have not succeeded to coordinate the operational activities among the national armed forces in an efficient manner. Interruption in the military operations: The main challenges which have prevailed in the security organs, are the interferences carried out by the powerful individuals and the Badakhshan’s people house representative in the practical military operations, imposing the irregularities in the security sectors. Gen. Babajan the Badakhshan’s police commander has expressed his views in the civil society activists gathering, saying the interruption in the police’s military operations and other security organs are not allowed by anyone to bring irregularities in this province. The insecurity foreign factors: the Badakhshan province is considered a strategic area by the international terrorists. Therefore, the terrorisms have been making destructive attempts to pave the ground for the insurgent armed groups, intensifying their destructive conspiracies in the middle Asian countries. At the same time, the Badakhshan province has been experiencing the insecurity problems in the recent days which are launching by the foreign and domestic forces who are willing to destroy the tranquility process in the province.
But fortunately the national armed forces who are having considerable defending capabilities, can uproot the government armed opponents and the people enemies. President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has insisted that the government armed opponents are concentrating all their destructive activities over the deterioration of the peaceful process in this province. But it is pointed out that the local people are supporting the government’s armed forces, providing the ground to remove the poverty and the negative impacts, imposed by the insecurity on the living condition of the local people. The local citizens in the Badakhshan province have confronted with the poverty. The transit route challenges in the most districts are increasing the food stuff’s prices. The local farmers, who are involved in the agricultural activities, cannot fulfill their duties concerning the agricultural facilities under the present situation. Meanwhile, the certain institutions that were engaging on the carrying out of the public services for the local people have been closed. The present situation has created concerns for the citizens who do not realize anything about their destinies in the future in the Badakhshan province. If the government does not focus its serious concentration over the launching of comprehensive military operations in this province, it is imagined that the security and instability process would not be maintained in Badakhshan.
