Kabul (BNA) A number of people with disabilities the other day discussed their problems with Minister of Information and Culture, Abdul Bari Jahani, BNA reported.
Director, Assadullah Kamawi and deputy directress of the people with disabilities, asked Minister Jahani to appoint an educated person with disability in his ministry to represent them, under a law requiring all ministries to consider three percent of their quota in all government organs.
They also asked the ministry for launching public awareness about the disables rights across the country through media and the visual media to reactivate their visual programs to help the people with disabilities reflect their visions through the media.
The Minister of Information and Culture called the people with disabilities a deserved part of the society and promised to do his best to tackle their problems.
