Jalalabad (BNA) Parts of Soukhroad District, Nangarhar province has cleared from insurgents in an operation conducted by Afghan forces.
The operation has been launched with attendance of hundreds police forces in the past four three days.
Selab army corps key commander told BNA, so far, large regions of the mentioned District were clean up from Taliban insurgents.
Several Taliban strongholds with war equipment have been demolished, he added.
Likewisle, six Taliban militants were killed and number others were injured in a clash by Taliban and security troops in the province.
Senior officials in east of the country said, the operation continues there till annihilation of insurgents in the mentioned district.
