Kabul Bank Issue Among Key Agendas Discussed In CM Session

Kabul (BNA) Second vice-president Mohammad Karim Khalili chaired a meeting of the economic committee of the council of ministers. 
The meeting discussed the issues pertaining to the Kabul Bank and resuming the activity of the sugar factory of northern Baghlan provinces. 
Minister of Finance and the Afghanistan Bank presented their work reports. 
The finance minister said that so far efforts has been made for follow up of misuse of and transfer of properties of perpetrators to the Kabul Bank. 
The meeting thoroughly discussed the measures achieved so far in addressing the process of follow up of Kabul Bank issues. 
The committee considering massive misuse from the public assets and the losses from this emphasized that these issues should be precisely and assessed by the government and legal actions should be taken against the perpetrators. 
The economic committee considered follow up of this issue a necessity and advanced specific proposals for acceleration of the process of assessments including forming of a specialized court to the president and the council of ministers. 
In another part of this meeting the proposal of the ministry of agriculture and irrigation on continued activity of the new sugar company of Baghlan considering some considerations was adopted by the meeting of the committee. 
The meeting decided that the dissolving of the new sugar company should be prevented and the program for cultivation of sugar beet for 1391 should start as soon as possible and that the shares of German companies of DEG and KWS is delivered to the ministry of agriculture. 
The committee also instructed the ministry of finance to facilitate employment of the Chairman of Board of Directors, accountant and a technical officer for carrying the activities of the factory.
