Wednesday, April 22, 2015

Kabul (BNA) In the past, there had been hundreds of state-run and mixed enterprises, such as, Afghani, loom, Bagrami loom, Gulbahar factory and many other textile factories, as well as dairy, grains, oil, sugar, cement, iron producing companies in the country.
Likewise, Jangalak enterprise, Maidan Wardak, Jabal-u-Saraj and Pol-e-Khumri power companies, Millie Bus, private transport enterprises and government oil enterprise benefiting Afg 1.5 Billion to the country had been operational in the country.
Through these enterprises, thousands of employees and laborer had been benefiting and could afford their livelihoods, as well as the government had been receiving millions of Afghanis.
There had been a general directorate of enterprises in the ministry of finance which was actively working and never let one Afs to be wasted or embezzled, as if a corruption case took place, there were a number of organs named Domestic Audit and Council of Ministers Control and Audit Committee investigating the process and were attempting to return the embezzled money and finally punished the corrupts and appreciated the honest people.
Beside these organs, there were Attorney General Office, police criminal department and national security economy section whom were protecting government’s national revenues and closing the escape way of corrupts and bringing them to justice.
After the government in article 10 of constitution applied the law of private entrepreneurs’ investments based on free market economy, the ministry of finance had nullified all enterprises caused thousands of our countrymen to lose their jobs and get unemployed.
As a matter of fact, abusing free market name was a great mistake imposed by cheater domestic and foreign investors which had followed terrible aftermaths on our poor society.
Most enterprises had been sold to some outlaw high-ranking officials and powerful individuals against less amount of money which was a great misbehavior to our country.
The government and economy experts have now realized the irreparable losses caused by nullifying enterprises.
This is while the ministry of finance is concerned on lack of enough budgets, stressing if the foreign countries don’t assist us, we cannot pay the government employees’ salaries.
In such cases, the people ask, when the government face budget deficiencies, the number of bodyguards of ministers, deputies and people representatives should be decreased as well as they should not use armored vehicles worth $100,000.
Therefore, the state-owned and mixed enterprises should be revived and the government should prevent misusing free market, because based on article 10 of constitution, encourage and support of the private entrepreneurs should be based on law, because it guarantees national interests of the country.
