Pakistan Takes Revenge Over Afghan Border Guards’ Rebuff

Sunday May 15, 2016

Kabul (BNA) Pakistani forces have recently blocked Turkham Port before thousands of crossing Afghans, including ailing passengers leaving for the neighboring country for treatment, after the country’s border guards move to retreat them of building roads for their outpost inside the Durand Line.
The Pakistan forces wanted to build roads for their military posts and keep launching military onrushes on the last 30-meter Durand Line point inside border with Afghanistan, but faced harsh similar military rebuff from the Afghan security forces, which have been fully on alert to prevent them of border violations. Pakistan had earlier done this wicked action and launched many provocative offensives in some areas inside the Afghan borders, like Goshta district of southern Paktia province, where even a number of the country’s security forces have been killed. This is clear that what the Pakistani authorities want from the provoking measures—of course, imposing pressure on Afghanistan to recognize the Durand Line as the two countries’ official border. The move made by the neighboring Pakistan and their plan to impose pressure on the Afghan forces and authorities are essentially supported by the some eastern countries, as some eastern Diplomats have been heard in the past to have announced recognition of the Durand Line as the official border between the two countries.
Some circles inside Afghanistan are shouting recognition of the Durand Line as the two countries official border, but, they are not aware if the neighboring country, by receiving the documents from Afghanistan would keep quiet and avoid launching similar provocation again against Afghanistan. The requires the national unity government for doing more diplomatic measures to officially rise the case to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for prevention of the Pakistani forces to block the border to the thousands of Afghan people mostly those suffering patience, as any move to continue the wicked act by the neighboring country’s border guards would never be in the interests of the two countries. On the other, the Pakistan army should change its political procedures in Afghanistan and the region and keep away from creating further challenges before the two countries.
