Zaranj City (BNA) 22 anti-government militias were killed during ‘Shafaq 2’ military operation led by Afghan security personnel in southern Nimroz province the other day.
Security official in the province told BNA, the operation was conducted to annihilate armed oppositions and protect the lives and properties of people in villages of Khashroud district of the province.
Some have and light weapons, ammunitions, war equipment and military mobilizations belonging the terrorist group have been discovered and seized during the operation as well, source added.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Sadiq Chakhansouri deputy provincial council of Nimroz told, an Afghan National Policeman was martyred and five others were injured following the operation.
