Kabul (BNA) Three armed Taliban insurgents along with military equipments have been captured by Afghan security forces during fights in Maiwand district of Kandahar.
According to Kandahar police officials, during eradication of poppy in Maiwand district, Afghan security forces faced with a group of armed Taliban in the district.
After two hours clashes, three armed Taliban insurgents along with arms and equipments were captured.
After the clashes, Afghan security forces launched a clearing operation in the area where 2000 kg explosives, 40 mines, 13 kg ammonium nitrate and various shells were discovered and seized.
