Pul-e-Khumri City (BNA) Five armed insurgents were killed and wounded during a joint clearing operation led by Hezb-e-Ismaic Afghanistan (HIA) with cooperation of National Directorate Security (NDS) personnel in northern Baghlan province.
Muhabullah Muhaqiq district governor Bano told BNA, the operation was carried out with leadership of Jama Khan Ayoub a commander of (HIA) in cooperation of NDS personnel to suppress armed oppositions in various parts Pul-e-Khumri-Doshi highway.
Bano district governor added, six Taliban’s hideouts had been captured and a militant was killed and four others were wounded during the operation.
The source added, the operation continuing until the highway completely has been cleared from existence of the insurgents.
