WB Committed For Cooperation On The Basis of Afghan Govt. Priorities

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai met with Jim Yank Kim Chairman of World Bank the other day.
At the meeting Jim Yank Kim said that the World Bank is strongly committed for cooperation with the people of Afghanistan in acceleration of growth and poverty reduction in the long-term.
We support the priority programs of the government of Afghanistan for education, health, water supply, energy, infrastructure and rural development.
President Karzai welcoming the Chairman of the World Bank appreciated the cooperation of the bank in the past ten years to Afghanistan and said that this bank has rendered outstanding services to the key spheres and its aid has played a positive role in development of Afghanistan.
Jim Yank Kim said at the meeting that the World Bank supports strengthening of capacities of the government of Afghanistan that enable her to render better services to the people and create jobs for the people through private sector in this country.
