Kabul (BNA) The second vice president Sarwar Danesh in meeting with a delegation of elders from Jalriz district of Wardak province here yesterday said that the cooperation of people with government ensures peace and security in the country.
In addition to expressing sympathy over the martyrdom of some children in the province, the vice president said that the inhabitants of the multi-ethnic province have used to live in peace and brotherhood over the past years.
Kabul-Kandahar highway passes through the strategically important Wardak province and Wardak connects the capital city Kabul to the central provinces, the vice president said. After listening to the problems and suggestions of the elders, the vice president said that unfortunately major parts of security incidents take place in areas where the government doesn’t exist there or have weak presence and one of these areas is Jalriz.
Since the enemies cannot defeat us in battle ground therefor they have been conspiring to restore on propagating sensitive issues to divide the people and unfortunately have succeeded in some extent, the vice president said, adding cases such as martyrdom of local police in Jalriz, kidnapping people in Zabul and beheading innocent civilians and attacking on parts of Behsoud and Daimirdad under the excuse of Kuchis each year are clear examples of enemies malicious designs to divide the people.
The vice president Danesh added that the criminal activities committed with ethnic motivation is dangerous and should not allow the enemies to achieve their goals.
According to another report the vice president Danesh also presided over the meeting of justice and judiciary committee of Council of Ministers here yesterday.
