Herat City (BNA) A top governmental official was arrested accuse of spying for Iran in western Herat province.
According to media reports, Asadullah Rezaee who was worked as specialist in services sector of Herat governor’s office had been arrested.
Razaee was detained during a special operation led by National Security Directorate (NDS) personnel.
Jilani Farhad spokesman of Herat governor in a telephonic contact confirmed the arresting of a senior governmental staff on the charge of spying for Iran said BNA, the arrested official was sent to Kabul for further investigation.
It has been said, before that Razaee had worked as a government employee in various governmental positions in Farah province.
Within the last five years three persons were arrested on the charge of spying for Iran in Herat province.
