Kabul (BNA) In continuation of evaluating the security situation of the country President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani commander in-chief of armed forces of Afghanistan heard the security reports of governors of Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul and Daikundi provinces and that of security and defending in-charges of 205 command of site zone in unification center of national security council office through video conference. In video conference which was held yesterday and attended by national security advisor, Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Acting Minister of National Defense, Enayatullah Nazari, head of independent administration of local organs Ghulam Jailani Popal, Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Shir Mohammad Karimi, senior deputy minister for security in Ministry of Interior Affairs, Gen. Mohammad Ayoub Salangi, Kandahar governor, acting governors of Uruzgan, Zabul and Daikundi provinces and leading body of security and defense forces quartered in abovementioned provinces, the in-charges concerned presented their reports in connection with general security situation in their related areas as well as in regard with measures and challenges available. Afterwards, in video conference, President Ghani regarded the reports presented by concerned officials as positive. The President also laid emphasize on single command in performing of activities of defense and security forces of the country. In another part of mentioned video conference, it is stated that is is the time the culture of appreciation and reward of meritorious employees of security and defense forces be rehabilitated. Instruction was gives till the commanders of units and detachments to introduce the meritorious personnel for reward and appreciation to the presidential office. At the end of video conference, emphasize was laid on improvement of good governance as the main principle for maintaining security in Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan and Daikundi provinces and the independent administration for local organs is tasked in coordination with related governors to adopt measure in appointment of district administrators.
