Truck Drivers Released from Grip of Taliban

Kabul (BNA) Six truck drivers have been released from clutch of Taliban militants in northern Samangan province yesterday.
Abdul Muqem Ahmadi district governor of Dara Souf told BNA correspondent, the drivers have been released while they paid ransom of 70000-100000 Afghanis to Taliban militants.
The truck drivers have been abducted by Taliban militants last week and their two coal’s trucks set on fire by Taliban as well, Ahmadi added.
Taliban militants taking finance 7000 Afghanis from each coal’s truck and warned them if they didn’t paid the tax their truck will be burnt, Ahmadi further added.
Meanwhile, two weeks ago about 60 truck’s drivers have been abducted by Taliban then released them after paying ransom.
