Responsible Organs Should Respond To People’s Electoral Concerns, CE

Kabul (BNA)  Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, chairing the meeting of the Council of Ministers, strongly condemned the recent suicide bombing in Imam Zaman Mosque of Paktia province and terrorist attack in Nangarhar province and called it an inhuman crime and condoled to the martyr’s bereaved families, a statement from his office said Monday.
He instructed the security organs for taking firm security plan in the provinces, the statement said.
Emphasizing on the trimly and transparently holding of parliamentary and district councils’ elections as well as the presidential elections, Dr. Abdullah urged the authorities responsible for responding the people concerns, as he said both the people and political parties have questions related to elections and all were willing a transparent process.
Touching on the US’s direct talks with Taliban, the CE said the Americans has earlier been in contact with the Taliban, but the key issue of the negotiation as paving the ground for direct talks between the government and the Taliban.
The National Unity Government’s Chief Executive also assured that no certain areas have been given to the Taliban and called the recent reports about, as a mere rumor disturbing public minds, the statement added.
The CE blamed terrorist groups were in practical war against the people of Afghanistan, and that they have no preference to another.
About the recently surrender of a group of Daesh members to the government, he said they would have been behaved as war prisoners.
They would be treated legally, he assured asking the security forces to pay serious attention in their behavior with the Daesh surrendered members as they had not joined the government by their own choice, but as a result of fear from Taliban.  “Their leader Qari Rahmatullah along with many of his subordinated have been killed in the country’s security forces special operation.”
Based on agenda, head of nuclear high commission shared report about the installation of a multi-purpose Gama-radiation apparatus in Afghanistan and said that they plan should be considered as a national project, as according to him, it would remain effective in economic development and other affairs and that to help the project get functional, there was a need for $100 thousand.
The CE instructed the ministry of finance to hold a joint meeting with the commission and provide the money, the statement concluded.
