50 Billion Afs Saved In Procurement Projects, CE

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in the meeting of the public procurements, said that about 50 billion Afghanis have been saved after wide reforms brought in the government’s procurements system, BNA reported.
The CE, as quoted by the agency, said in the past many problems were available and the benefits were lost, but after the establishment of the National Procurement Commission, good changes have been brought. The NPC has delivered up to 3330 contracts costing 500 billion Afghanis to the companies in the past four years, the country’s Chief Executive noted. He said tens of projects, which have been of the government top priorities, have remained intact due to lack of proper work procedure, but today, according to him, the way for the projects were open and that up to 50 billion Afghanis have been saved as a result, a considerable success at a time, while the country is dependent on the foreign countries aids.
