President Karzai Meets Ghazni Roadside Mine Victims’ Families

Kabul (BNA) President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai met families of Ghazni wedding victims and offered his deepest sympathies with the bereaved families yesterday.
Last week, a bus which was carrying dozens of women and children crashed with a roadside mine in Andeer District of central Ghazni province and the tragic blast resulted the killing of at least eighteen women and children and wounded five pedestrians.
In the meantime, the president met the son of Maulavi Noorulhaq, a prominent religious scholar of Ghazni who was murdered by Taliban militants on September 3rd of the current year.
The president condemning the cowardly act offered his condolences to the victim’s family.
In the meeting which was held in the presidential palace, families of Ghazni wedding victims thanked the president for his supports and sympathies and said that as faithful people we surrender to the will of Allah and endorse his decision whatever Almighty Allah consider important.
Families of the martyrs demanded further security measures for their area and condemned the killings of innocent civilians by the insurgents.
The president besides offering his sympathies to the bereaved families also donated cash for  the victims’ families.
The president also assigned the concerned officials to provide residential houses for the martyrs’ families in Ghazni and ordered the Office of Administrative Affairs and Council of Ministers Secretarial to ensure participation of martyrs’ families in the upcoming Consultative Loya Jirgah (Traditional Grand Assembly).
