Kabul (BNA) Emal Faizi president’s spokesperson in an interview to the media said that Afghanistan never permit outside-generated Taliban return.
He was reacting to the report published in Washington Post quoting the US intelligence agency that Afghanistan till the year 2017 will face turmoil and the Taliban will gain further influence. He said that if this is an analysis by the US intelligence agency or other intelligence agencies of that country with respect to the situation in Afghanistan, we strongly reject it and call it as baseless.
He added that such analysis also proved incorrect and if we deem these an analysis and correct, the result we take from it is that the existence of the US bases in Afghanistan will not prevent the irregularities in Afghanistan, for according to them in existence of those bases Afghanistan will encounter turmoil.
Faizi stressed that if this is part of the design for handing over a part of the Afghan territory to the Taliban, Afghanistan will never accept it and no such a plot will succeed.
He added that our position is such that return of the Taliban to the country is possible only through political process and reconciliation.
He emphasized that Afghanistan never allow outside-generated return of the Taliban and will not give a part of its territory to them as well.
