Twenty-Four Prisoners Released from Taliban Jail in Kunduz

Kunduz (BNA) Commando forces released 24 prisoners from an armed Taliban prison in Kunduz last night.

Hadi Jamal, head of the press office of 217 Pamir Corps, told BNA that the men were released from a Taliban prison in Aqtash district of Kunduz during an operation by commando forces.

He added that those released included 16 ANA members, two police officers, four commandos, a national security officer and a civilian.

Two nights ago, commando forces also released 42 people from a Taliban prison in Baghlan.
