Kabul (BNA) A spokesman to Independent Election Commission said yesterday ballot audit process was underway and only 3,700 boxes remained unaudited so far from among 22,828 boxes.
Speaking to journalists in a news conference, IEC spokesman Noor Mohammad Noor said, “From among four warehouses where voting audit and recounting process continued, work on one warehouse was completed, adding national and international observers have increased and efforts are underway for ending the process in the coming days.”
Noor further said only 3,760 ballots boxes remained unaudited so far from among 22,828 boxes.
According to Noor, 19,047 ballot boxes showing 84.4% ballots have been recounted and audited so far.
He asserted results of 16,385 evaluating contents showing 72% have entered in checklist.
