Kabul (BNA) As many as 91 anti-government militias were killed and 63 more were wounded following clashes and reciprocal attacks of Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of Defense by releasing a statement reported, the conflicts and reciprocal raids took place in various parts of Nangarhar, Logar, Paktia, Urozgan, Herat, Ghor, Faryab and Helmand provinces.
Some heavy and light weapons and ammunitions belonged to the terrorists have been seized by Afghan security personnel as well, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Afghan national defense and security forces by discovering and confiscating 21 round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent several deadly incidents in crowded areas of the mentioned provinces.
Taliban fighters by planting the mines wanted to target innocent civilian and Afghan security troops.
