Kabul (BNA) 1- Items 7 and 8, article 45 of mass media law clarifies as following:
Disclosing of identity and screening of violence and rape victims pictures in such a way that damage their social prestige as well as publishing of issues which damage individuals’ mental security and moral health particularly, children and teenagers is forbidden through mass media.
Based on the above article, this is to announce to all private and public visual media to avoid publishing of disturbing pictures of victims of violent incidents of suicide attacks or explosions which occur by enemies of homeland in different parts of the country and cause casualties and damages to countrymen and for preservation of humanitarian and Islamic dignity of wounded and martyrs and dignity of victims’ families and preservation of mental security and moral safety of individuals.
2- Despite of repeated announcements of the MoIC, large number of printing media regardless of taking into account, the article 28 of the mass media law without receiving official permit of MoIC.
For the last time, the MoIC announces to all printing media to report from the release of this announcement in one week to public relations and publicity department and receive it.
Otherwise, violators will be prosecuted.
