Maimana (BNA) five armed militants were killed in recent clashes by security forces in Faryab province the other day.
The clashes occurred in Garzewan and Qaisar districts of the province while tens of militants attacked on security posts.
A national army commander of Faryab province said BNA, in the clashes five militants lost their lives.
He also confirmed killing of four militaries in the incident.
Meanwhile, residents of Garzewan district said that during the clashes, three militaries including a woman and a child were wounded.
