Parliament Has Great Responsibility Before Nation

Monday April 13, 2015
Kabul (BNA) After long delay, ultimately the National Unity Government (NUG) leaders have announced a number of minister-designates to lower house of the parliament to win the vote of confidence. Now, the ball is in the parliament’s ground and the people representatives are faced with sensitive and national responsibility. After formation of the NUG, most ministries have been managed by acting ministers, which caused many problems in the government administrations. Therefore, if the new nominee ministers don’t win the vote of confidence, the ministries will be kept managing by acting ministers and the country will face serious challenges. Considering the ongoing situation, the house of people should cast the confidence vote to those who are eligible to be the ministers. Unfortunately, in our country everything is made on tribal, linguistic and sectarian bases, so it is hoped that the house members to cast their vote of confidence to nominee ministers based on eligibility, honesty and merit, otherwise, the country will face grave problems. Security sectors play significant role in a country, but unfortunately still the ministry of defense of the country is being administered by acting minister, which caused some insurgent groups such as, Daesh and al-Qaeda to start activities and be a warning to the security and stability of the country. Considering such a condition, sans having active security sector and specific defensive planes, the country will face harsh challenges. Therefore, the Lower House of the Parliament has entered a new and historic phase and the people are waiting for its representatives’ decision. Lailuma Noori
