UN Report on Presence of Foreign Groups in Afghanistan is Baseless: MoF

KABUL (BNA) The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Foreign Ministry in a statement on Monday has rejected the recent report of the UN Security Council monitoring group on the presence and activities of foreign groups in the country.

A statement issued by the ministry on Monday state ” that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly denies the 13th report of the UN Security Council Monitoring Group on the presence and activities of foreign groups in Afghanistan.”

” Since the Islamic Emirate took control of power has been prevented from any harm to the countries of the region and the world, and the Afghan government has always tried to build trust with the countries of the world for the past 9 months. Added to the statement”

According to the Ministry, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reaffirms its commitment and assures that it will not allow anyone to use Afghanistan’s territory against others.

“We demand that information not be obtained from anonymous sources and that the current Afghan government be given the legitimate right to present the facts through its permanent representative to the Security Council and other countries,” said the Ministry.

Recently, a number of media outlets reported that foreign groups were still present and active in Afghanistan, citing a report by the UN Security Council Monitoring Group a claim that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has been called baseless.
