Muttaqi Asks UN to Provide Fact-Based Report on Afghanistan’s Human Rights

KABUL (BNA) Acting foreign minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi during a meeting with the UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Afghanistan said that the UN should provide a fact-based report about the current human rights situation in Afghanistan, not based on biased information from the media.

Muttaqi during his meeting with the UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Afghanistan, Richard Bennett also discussed the cultural values of the Afghan people.

He said that the UN should respect the cultural values of Afghans during any research or investigations in Afghanistan.

Mr. Bennett thanked Muttaqi for sharing important information regarding the positive developments, the current situation, human rights, and the public image of Afghan society with the new government, and promised to prepare a report about the situation in Afghanistan based on facts.
