Kabul (BNA) 8th exhibition of book was opened on the occasion of ‘Book-reading Week’ at Kabul University’s library.
The exhibition which was held by Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) and close cooperation of Kabul University, book publishers and Kabul municipality, nearly 35,000 various academic, cultural, literal and historical books have been put for exhibition.
In opening ceremony of the exhibition, deputy minister of publication affairs for information and culture Fazil Sancharaki spoke and said that holding such exhibitions could play vital role in promoting the culture of book reading.
He said that publishers and writers could make complaint in copyright support board of the ministry if their books were published by others.
Afterwards, Chancellor of Kabul University Hamidullah Farooqi spoke and said the university was always in the service of cultural figures and book publishers.
