Seminar Held to Commemorate Afghan Known Poet Ustad Khalili

Kabul (BNA)  A meeting attended by the country’s Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Hasina Safi, the Minister of Information and Culture, deputies of the ministry of information and culture and a number of cultural figures here in Kabul to commemorate the known Afghan poet Ustad Khalilullah Khalili’s 32ned death anniversary, BNA reported Saturday.
The meeting was organized by the ministry of information and culture in the honor of the well-known Afghan poet, Ustad Khalili who passed away when he was an immigrant to one of the neighboring countries, the agency said.
The meeting was also attended by the presidential advisor, Abdul Ghafoor Liwal, the Late Khalili’s son Masoud Khalili and a number of government authorities at the ministry’s conference hall, according to the agency.
Minister Safi said that in the series of his led ministry’s plan to commemorate the country’s cultural figures, was proud of having the conference held to commemorate the 32nd death anniversary of the Afghan contemporary poet, Ustad Khalilullah Khalili.
She said Khalili was the country’s contemporary poet who had various versified and prose works in various fields of art, literature, politics, philosophy and Gnosticism published inside and outside the country, the agency quoted.
“The epic poems of Ustand Khalili has further the color of the slogan of unity and campaign and love to the country in his poems and live has had wide concept.  His poems don’t cover a special geography, politics or special people but the border of his homeland from the faraway of cultural tie to the closest historical, political and social relations, included the steadiest religious and traditional issues,” the agency quoted her as saying.
CE Abdullah also spoke at the conference and called Ustad Khalili one of the country’s great historical poets and said he was a modest and faithful personality.
“Khalili was among the pioneer poets and related to the poets such as Rabi Mueri,” said the CE as quoted by the agency.  He said Ustad Khalili’s poems raised the voice of the people of Afghanistan during the resistance and helped him reach the apex of reputation.
