UNAMA: Trend of Humanitarian Aid will Resume in Bamyan

BAMYAN (BNA) The head of UNAMA regional office in Bamyan met with local officials in the province yesterday.

According to BNA correspondent: the head of UNAMA office in Bamyan met with Alhaj Mawlawi Abdullah Sarhadi, governor of Bamyan, and discussed the continuation of humanitarian aid and coordination with international organizations and the UNAMA office in Bamyan.

At start, the UNAMA delegation hailed the Governor for his cooperation and attention, later provided details on the programs of international organizations, including UNICAR, UNICEF, UCA, UNDP and Red Crescent.

The head of UNAMA in Bamyan assured the continuation of humanitarian aid in Bamyan and added: “Soon, in coordination with the provincial authorities, district governors, relevant officials and people’s representatives of Bamyan, the distribution of humanitarian aid in the districts and the center of Bamyan will resume.”

Meanwhile, the official of Bamyan province, appreciating the programs of international organizations and especially UNAMA office in the province, said: the local administration of Bamyan announces its full cooperation in implementing and securing the projects of national and international institutions.

It is worth mentioning that the purpose of this meeting was to coordinate the implementation of programs and activities of international organizations in the center and districts of Bamyan.
