“Monday’s Terrorist Attack Was An Assault On Media & Crime Against Humanity,” President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Security Council’s meeting was held yesterday at Gul Khana Palace of ARG.
In the meeting, the country’s defense and security officials delivered their report related to Monday’s terrorist incident killing a number of journalists and innocent civilians.
Expressing sadness over the incident, President Ghani said that freedom of expression and open activities of media were significant for the government. The country’s President tasked relevant officials to review modality of happening the incident and security vacuums and share details and facts of the incident with media and the people.
President Ghani considered the terrorist incident as attack on freedom of expression and crime against humanity, adding that perpetrators of the incident would be brought to justice.
The meeting discussed security of Kabul city in particular west of Kabul and necessary instructions were issued for adopting overall measures.
In the meeting, security situation of various provinces of the country was discussed and relevant institutions were instructed to review challenges and problems and improve security. At the end of the meeting, problems of Saudi-based Afghans were discussed and relevant officials were instructed for cooperation and addressing their problems.
