Media Play National Role In Covering ARCS’s Activities, Mostafavi

Kabul (BNA) A session was held for absorption of the country’s media cooperation in covering activities of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS).
In the session, deputy minister of publication affairs for information and culture Associate Prof. Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi spoke and said that Afghan Red Crescent Society as a welfare organization in the country has rendered unprecedented services to disabled and blinds and was honestly operating in this regard.
Mostafavi asserted that media in the country was playing their national role in covering services, responsibilities and activities of the organization and once again asked all media both government and non-government one for their cooperation in this regard. Mostafavi also considered role of media as important in rooting out corruption, violence against women, illiteracy, war and insecurity in the country.
In the session, deputy and acting chairman of Afghan Red Crescent Society Merwais Akram while briefing role of the organization in providing aid to victims of natural incidents and war said the organization was providing further humanitarian services, promising that the organization would tighten cooperation with media.
