UNICEF Appoints Mohamed Ag Ayoya to Represent Afghanistan

KABUL (BNA) The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has appointed a veteran member with experience in poor African countries to represent Afghanistan.

Mohamed Ag Ayoya is from Mali, Africa.

UNICEF announced in a news release today that Ayoya will be deployed in Afghanistan.

He has previously served as a representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund in poor countries such as New Guinea, Zimbabwe, South Sudan and Somalia.

In his latest statement, Mohamed Ag Ayoya, the new UNICEF Representative for Afghanistan, called children in Afghanistan the most vulnerable in the world and said he would work to improve their situation.
