Marking ‘Afghanistan-India Cultural Week’ A Step Toward Enhanced Bilateral Relations Between The Two Countries, Bawari

Kabul (BNA) To mark the first week of Afghanistan-India Cultural Week, a scientific and research seminar was held in New Delhi the other day, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
The seminar was attended by Indian minister of culture Mahesh Sharma, Afghan acting minister of information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawari, Ambassador Shaida Mohammad Abdali and a large number of diplomats, scholars and creative people and artistes from India and Afghanistan. Representing the people and government of Afghanistan, acting minister Bawari said relations between the two countries has gone back to Ashoka and Kanishka era, the agency added. He said holding Afghanistan-India cultural week in New Delhi meant relations between the two countries have been considerably enhanced in different fields’ particularly in culture and hoped the seminar to be held in Afghanistan next year, the agency continued.
Indian minister of culture also pointed out at cultural commonalities and friendly relations with Afghanistan and called holding the week a new step towards enhanced bilateral ties between the two countries.
