KABUL (BNA) Kabul mayor Mawlavi Abdul Rashid, met with Nicholas George, head of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), on Wednesday to discuss support for development projects in Kabul.
The Kabul Mayor hailed the office’s continued cooperation in the implementation of infrastructure and development projects in Kabul and called for the continued support of the organization in the future, according to the municipality press office.
George, head of UNOPS pledged the organization continued support saying the UNOPS is committed to supporting infrastructure, development projects, and job creation opportunities around the world.
During a meeting, the head of the UNOPS office promised that the organization will assist and cooperate with the Kabul Municipality in the supply of equipment, machinery, construction, and design of roads, and technical capacities.
In the end, the United Nations office for project services (UNOPS) vowed that the organization will assist Kabul Municipality in the completion of 10 major infrastructure and development projects.
