Afghan Youth Ask For Implementation of UNSC Resolution On Peace

Kabul (BNA) A number of the youth and civil society activists asked the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to implement resolution 2250 which is on youth, peace and security.
The resolution approved early December emphasizes on the youth’s constructive role in peace-building process and security and says the youth should find way to the high ranks of decision-making and civil society.
Dr. Kamal Sadat, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Youth Affairs spoke in the session, calling the youth’s role prominent in peace and stability, the BNA reported. “Fortunately, Afghanistan has the most youth population that should be used,” he further said. A five-article resolution was read by Fatema Ehsani which emphasizes on the youth’s role in different sectors.
