Security Issue Discussed In NSC meeting

Kabul (BNA) The National Security Council (NSC) meeting chaired by president Karzai held at the presidential palace.
First, Sher Mohammad Karimi Chief of Staff of National Army informed the NSC about the tri-partite meeting of Afghanistan, Pakistan and NATO and his meeting with Pakistani Chief of Staff.
He said cross border disputes were discussed with Pakistani military authorities.
The NSC confirming the permanent stance of Afghanistan instructed the ministries of national defense and interior affairs to facilitate for holding such meetings between the military officers of the two countries in order to resolve the problems created due to Pakistani military moves on the Durand Line.
Meanwhile security measures on the highways of Afghanistan were shared with the NSC meeting by Interior Minister Mujtaba Patang.
The NSC emphasizing on the need for reliable security on high-ways called the cooperation of people for achieving this vital goal.
The NSC also confirmed the measures in principle and instructed the interior ministry to undertake necessary measures for its execution.
At the end the NSC confirming in principle the extension of the contracts of 13 Australian police assigned the ministry of interior to adopt necessary measures for implementing the issue.
