Uzbekistan Has Reduced Its Electricity to Afghanistan By 60 Percent

Kabul (BNA) Uzbekistan has cut its electricity supply to Afghanistan by 60 percent without coordination with the Afghan side.

According to BNA report, Breshna officials say, Uzbek electricity officials attribute the power outage to technical problems in the country.

They say there is a technical problem at the country’s coral railway station, which has reduced electricity exports to Afghanistan.

They also add that work is underway to resolve the issue and that the issue will be resolved in two to three days.

However, due to the reduction of electricity from Uzbekistan, electricity in 16 provinces has been cut off and the problem of oversupply has been revealed.
