Uzbekistan to Start New Trade Ties with Islamic Emirate

Kabul (BNA) High-ranks officials of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Emirate have declared to launch new trade ties between the two countries at the Haira-tan trade border in Balkh.

In a meeting, Sher Ahmad Sepai Zada, Advisor of Industry and Trade Department of Balkh, described the launch of Afghanistan-Uzbekistan relations as an important and effective task.

He emphasized on the need to facilitate trade between the two countries through bilateral exchanges, as well as to facilitate and re-establish these relations.

At the same time, the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Balkh, Jafar Fattahyov, described the trade ties as bilateral and stressed the need to expand these relations.

Mr. Fattahyov said that this is important for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and promised all kinds of assistance and cooperation in the field of transition and announced other infrastructure projects in various fields in the future.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Shoaib, Director of Exports and Imports of Balkh Customs, said that they are attempting to find trade solutions and facilitate national trade with neighboring countries, especially Uzbekistan, were important and at the same time important. He promised to cooperate in strengthening trade relations and friendship between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in accordance with the accepted laws.
