Kochis Drum up Support For Government Programs

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with provincial representatives of Kochis (Nomads) here at Salam Khana palace of Arg the other day, a presidential statement said.
Representing others, MP Mawlawi Tarakhel Mohammadi and Delawar Faizan head of Kochis coordination agency lauded government’s programs and expressed their support. They also praised president Ghani’s achievements and efforts in the areas of development, reform and implementation of the projects, the statement added.
The speakers also enumerated a number of Kochis’ problems, including that of education, agriculture and livestock, shelters, pastures, access to potable water, townships for Kochis and other related issues, asking government to help return their grabbed pastures, the statement said.
Welcoming Kochis’ representative to Kabul, President Ghani thanked their support of government’s programs and assured their problems would be addressed through the line ministries. “To solve problems before Kochis and improve coordination among the ministries, the high council on Kochis to be established and would hold session every month to address the challenges,” President Ghani said as quoted in the statement.
