Kabul (BNA) Six local commanders of Taliban were arrested in several military operations last night.
These commanders have been arrested in combined operations of Afghan and NATO forces from the outskirt of Panjwai district of Kandahar, Nadali district of Helomand, Herat district of Nangarhar, Andeer district of Ghazni and Moqor district of Zabul province.
NATO in a press statement said to BNA, these rebels’ commanders were arrested on charges of terrorist attacks on Afghan and NATO forces and civilians from their hideouts.
It should be said that in these operations nearly 21 Taliban rebels were killed and arrested as well.
NATO press statement said, tens of arms were seized by these forces.
The statement has not mentioned regarding the causalities of Afghan and NATO forces and civilians.
Also the statement said that NATO arrested tens of rebels in several military operations in the level of Afghanistan.
NATO said these rebels of Taliban were arrested in operations which launched by Afghan and NATO forces for arresting of their commanders in several regions of Afghanistan.
The source added in these operations the Taliban commanders were not present in the area.
