Kabul (BNA) Marshal Mohammad Qasem Fahim First Vice-President met yesterday with elders and influential of Baghlan province, who shared their environment problems with him.
Addressing the elders Marshal Fahim invited the elders, intellectuals, youth and members of the civil society, representatives of the provincial council of Baghlan to unity and fraternity and added that unity can guarantee security and stability.
He also called on them to exert efforts towards building of a strong Afghanistan and unity among the people.
He added that under the present conditions we need to remove the factors impeding our progress and reconstruction.
He stressed further that work on equipping and further strengthening of security forces is being continued and our forces in another few months will undertake the responsibility of security throughout the country. Marshal Fahim assured the elders and representatives of Baghlan that the government is determined to achieve peaceful transfer of power on its due date and the presidential elections holds as earlier determined on the basis of the Constitution of Afghanistan as the future stability of the country is linked with it.
