Nine gunned down in fresh Karachi violence

KARACHI (BNA) Nine persons lost their lives in the ongoing spate of violence that has engulfed the metropolis while two others were injured Saturday, Geo News reported.
According to police, unknown gunmen killed a seminary teacher in Shah Faisal Colony. Three persons were killed when armed attackers opened fire at Sabri Chowk in Orangi Town, rescue sources told.
Two persons were also shot dead in Moach Goth area in separate firing incidents while another was killed in C-1 area of Liaquatabad.
Unknown culprits dumped a body late at night in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area and fled from the scene. The victims was kidnapped, tortured and later shot dead. His identity could not be ascertained till last reports.
A man in injured condition was dumped at Railway Society in the vicinity of Aziz Bhatti police station who had been subjected to torture. He was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Another man was injured when armed dacoits opened fire on him as he resisted a robbery attempt in Keamari area. He was also transferred to a private hospital for medical aid.
