Minister Rabbani, Indian External Affairs Minister Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Kabul (BNA) Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani met the Minister of State for External Affairs of Republic of India M.J. Akbar in his office yesterday morning, a statement from the MoFA said.
At the beginning, the Foreign Minister appreciated Akbar’s participation in the launch of the TAPI project in Afghanistan and deemed the said event as a great success in the implementation of this important economic project for all the four countries.
Later in the meeting, the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs hinted at his country’s need for energy and the importance of the TAPI project for India.  Both sides reiterated their countries’ strong commitment in the implementation of the project.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and important regional and international issues of mutual interest.
