PAKTIA (BNA) local officals says dozens of weapons were deterred from reaching Pakistan on Wednesday.
Late Wednesday, Paktia police discovered a large consignment of weapons in Dand Patan district.
The gunman reportedly fled when he saw security forces chasing him, leaving behind a vehicle in which he had skillfully placed weapons.
A Paktia police source told BNA that 50 different kind of weapons were recovered from the fugitive.
The source confirmed that the weapons were to be smuggled into Pakistan.
