West Tries to Undermine Afghan Academic Institutions: Haqqani

KABUL (BNA) Acting Interior Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, says west tries to undermine Afghanistan’s academic institutions.

Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani the statement in a meeting with the teachers and students of Sheikh Zayed University, on Monday.

Mr. Haqqani asked university students to take part in the development of their country.

The west tries to undermine Afghanistan’s educational and scientific institutions, but the Islamic Emirate and Afghans should be conscious and give priority to Islamic and national values ​​above all, he added.

The future generation of the country should be trained in the national and Islamic spirit and no one should be allowed to bring destructive people into the educational centers and destroy the valuable institutions of the country, he said.

Addressing the students, Mr. Haqqani said to educate yourself about politics, but don’t hire yourself for someone else’s politics, because the university is not a war but a field of knowledge.

Haqqani said to the students new graduates from the university will be given opportunities to work in the relevant sectors.

He said that educated children are the spirit of a nation.

He added, that the school and madrassa is for the good of a nation.

Waleed a professor of Sheikh Zayed University shared some suggestions with the Interior Minister, during a meeting, said a statement.

Earlier, in a public gathering Haqqani said that the Islamic Emirate proved in action that Afghanistan is not a threat to any country in the world.

Mr. Haqqani said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is ready and develop economic and diplomatic ties with the world, adding we will never be a threat to any world countries.

He called for the immediate release of frozen assets’ Afghanistan.
