Minister Jahani Meets Chinese, Indian Ambassadors To Kabul

Kabul (BNA) Abdul Bari Jahani, Minister of Information and Culture in a meeting yesterday with Ding Xi Jon, Chinese ambassador to Kabul considered China as one of human civilization’s Cradle. 
According to BNA report, in the meeting both sides stressed on expansion of cultural relations between the two countries. Recalling of an institute where the Afghan students are receiving Chinese language, the ambassador said his country would continue its cultural cooperation with Afghanistan. According to another report, minister of information and culture in a separate meeting with Indian ambassador to Kabul Amar Sinha discussed on a research seminar to be held in Kabul for celebration of 100th anniversary of establishment of India’s interim government in Afghanistan. In 1915, a group of Indian liberals established the country’s interim government in Afghanistan at the time of Amir Habibullah Khan, while their country was ruled by Great Britain. In combination of the interim government India was Jakmar, Mawlavi Obaidullah Sendi, Mawlavi Barakatullah and a number of others. It is determined that 100th anniversary of establishment of India’s interim government in Afghanistan will be celebrated in Kabul by holding research seminar attended by Ulamas and knowledgeable figures of Afghanistan, India, Iran and Pakistan. In the meeting, it was decided that the seminar would be held in Kabul on December 02 coinciding with 100th anniversary of India in Kabul. In the meeting, they also discussed exchanging cultural delegations between the two countries and granting of Indian scholarships to Afghanistan ministry of information and culture. It is determined that the scholarships would be granted to national museum, national archive and archaeology department. Meanwhile, the Indian ambassador to Kabul also pledged that his country would help the ministry in technical fields.
