President Karzai Meets British Defense Minister

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai met Philip Hamodn Minister of Defense of Britain in presence of British ambassador and the commander of the British force in Afghanistan.
The meeting held at the president palace, issues pertaining to delivering of the Afghan prisoners from the British prison to the Afghan sovereignty and the British drone planes operations.
President Karzai once again insisted on the stance of the Afghan government for delivering the Afghan prisoners from the British prison and added that preservation of the Afghan inmates at the British prisons in Afghanistan is far sensitive and important issue and they have to be immediately delivered to the Afghan side.
The British Defense Minister said that the British government respects the stance of the Afghan government on delivery of the Afghan prisoners to the Afghan side and they are trying their best to solve the legal problems and soon deliver them to the Afghan side.  President Karzai also asked explanation with respect to the British drone operations in Afghanistan and asked the defense minister to inform about the reason and principles according which the drones operate in Afghanistan.
The British Defense Minister said that usage of the drone planes by the British forces has intelligence aspects, not war fare aspects and the operations are carried out in support of the Afghan security forces and the information obtained  of these operations are shared with the Afghan security forces.  Meanwhile at the meeting peace process and other regional issues were discussed.
