Masoudi Honored Roman Magsaysay Award

Kabul (BNA) Ramon Magsaysay Foundation has bestowed its 2014 prestigious roster awardees that have manifested their same selfless service as shown by the 3rd Filipino leader, Ramon Magsaysay, who lost his life in a plane crash.
Omara Khan Masoudi, director of National Museum of Afghanistan honored Ramon Magsaysay Award in Manila of Philippine on Sunday. The Ramon Magsaysay Foundation was founded in Manila in 1957 to honor valuable services of the Philippines’ third president who lost his life in a plane crash. The foundation has since implemented the Magsaysay Award program, pursuing the mission of “honoring greatness of spirit in selfless service to the peoples of Asia”. The award is granted annually to elite figures and organizations operating remarkably in various fields of culture, social and humanitarian. Afghanistan National Museum director Omara Khan Masoudi won Ramon Magsaysay Award for his intolerable services related to protection and preservation of national museum’s artifacts and its renovation.
Besides Masoudi, four other elite figures,  Randy Halasan (Philippines), Saur Marlina Manurung (Indonesia), Ateed Riza, Syed Asaad Ayub Ahmad and Saleen Ahsan (representing the Citizen Foundation of Pakistan), Hu Shuli and Wang Canfa (China) were honored at the Cultural Center of the Philippines on Sunday, August 31, 2014.
