Families Living Under Tents Receive Aids In Kabul

Kabul (BNA) More than 1200 families who are living under tents in Qamber Square area of Kabul on Monday received fire wood provided by Afghan ministry of refugees and returnees. 
The families who have been recently displaced from their home provinces as Helmand, Urozgan and Kandahar are poorly spending their day and night under tents, but a number of other people have chosen such life to get assistance provided by various government and non-government organizations, according to residents of the area. 
According to Mehr Khuda Sabar, head of emergency for Afghan ministry of refugees and returnees, due to the request of the ministry, a German organization has provided fire wood, winter stuffs, heater and blankets costing 600,000 Euro and were distributed to nearly 3900 displaced families living under tents in various areas of Kabul city. 
Sabar said distribution of 1800 blankets, 1600 heaters and 800 pair of winter clothes are determined to be distributed to the displaced families in the city. 
He added the German organization is to cooperate with the ministry in providing tents for the families.
