Employment Opportunities Available In Rural Areas: MRRD

Kabul (BNA) The MRRD said that with launching of maintenance and jobs, projects employment have been created for large number of rural. The Public Information Department of the NSP of the MRRD said: Despite of challenges, problems, the NSF managed to establish Rural Development Councils by rural in 34 provinces, with a total expenditure of AFS 80,870,803,439 and has covered over 87 pc of Afghanistan territory. According to MRRD with the implementation of this program and 89619 development and public utility projects by these elected development councils, job opportunities will be available to rural. These projects decreased poverty and play important role in improvement of rural economic condition. In which large number of people are involved. Unfortunately, within the last four decades due to devastating conflicts, unpleasant national disasters, consecutive droughts, and heavy damages were inflicted on socio-economic structure, of land owners and peasants. Agricultural fields, gardens, vineyards, and pastures were changed to ruins and our economy was stagnated. But the NSP conducted public utility projects across the country and the rural managed to carry out useful steps.
According to authorities of the MRRD, implementation of 6440 projects in education, 22208 transport projects, 159 health projects, 2520 livelihood projects, 16693 irrigation projects, 7782 energy projects and 4899 rural development projects left behind positive impact on rural economy. Implementation of public utility development projects in most village including mini water dams, bathes, diesi mills, handicrafts and other income creating projects caused the destroyed rural economy to be rehabilitated and employment opportunities have been provided for hundreds thousands countrymen. With implementation of maintenance projects, about 4554006 working days have been created for our people and they have been largely benefited. Appreciating implementation of NSP in their province, Najeebullah one of the rural of Kapisa province said, “NSP have caused relative positive changes in rural economy and they are satisfied. Saifuddin Sahihoon a lecturer of Kabul University said, “NSP projects play direct, important and key rule in rurals socio-economic growth, these projects should be long termed, equal and balanced.
